Peter wanted to stay on the mountain. Build three tents. Make the moment permanent.

But they couldn't stay. The Transfiguration wasn't the destination - it was fuel for the valley. Jesus was preparing them for what was coming.

That's how it works for us too. God gives us mountaintop moments - a retreat, a powerful Mass, a prayer that breaks through. And then we have to come back down. Back to the mess. Back to the ordinary.

The question isn't whether you'll have to leave the mountain. You will. The question is: what did you see up there that you can carry with you?
