A week of milestones & gratitude + offering a 5K

How can I not be exceedingly grateful this week? And if you check out my #2MinuteHomily this week, you’ll see how my fortune cookie at a baseball game reminded me of this perspective.

This past weekend, we celebrated Matthew’s 18th birthday. It’s almost unbelievable that we now have two legal adults in the family (in addition to myself, I guess). This coming week (the 8th), we’ll celebrate Thomas’s 20th. And before we know it, Joseph will hit 16. We celebrated with some family this weekend too, and just seeing the boys all having fun and getting along brought me great joy.

Speaking of milestones, Suzanne and I celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary this week! Wow, 21 years flew by like a flash. I’m grateful for the ups and downs and how we’ve faced them all together.

This Friday, I’ll be running the Halloween 5K at Disneyland. You can watch a Facebook Reel flyover of the 5K route through the parks. It’ll be my first time at Disney’s west coast parks, enjoying a little anniversary getaway with Suzanne.
