Wednesday @ LunchMusings from Deacon Michael Halbrook for your Wednesday lunch time
Good news, bad news… I’m switching @Lunch to Wednesdays instead of Tuesdays. I missed last week and have continued to have work and life pressures that make Tuesday hard to deliver. I hope you’ll still welcome me into your lunch time - but on Wednesdays instead of Tuesdays.
Also, I still have no new #2MinuteHomily this week. I have one ready to go for next week, though, so we’ll be back with the #2MinuteHomily series next week. It’s been an intense season at work, and I’ve over-focused there the last couple of weeks

Our Fragile Bodies
A series of experiences this week have brought to mind a vivid understanding of how fragile we are - more so than we realize
Running & Praying
Also: Our oldest son Thomas and I are headed back to Orlando and Walt Disney World Resort today (we’ll probably be boarding or in flight as you receive this). We’re looking forward to a “relaxing” weekend at the parks with the intensity of running quite a bit at the RunDisney Wine & Dine weekend:
Friday morning we’ll run a 5K, Saturday morning we’ll run a 10K, and Sunday morning I’ll be running my first Half Marathon.
I plan to pray for you and your intentions as I run each of the 19+ miles this weekend. My approach to the 10K and the Half Marathon is going to be run-walk… I’ll pray a decade of the rosary while running, then take a break to walk while praying another decade of the rosary, and back and forth between running and walking in that manner. I’ll be able to offer quite a few rosaries for you and your intentions. If there’s something I can pray for, please send me a message in the next couple of days and let me know. You can just reply to this email to let me know.
Oh, and while I’m not running, I plan to eat my way through the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. Here’s my shopping list of the festival foods I’m hoping to try.
This Sunday’s Mass Readings
This Sunday we’ll celebrate the 30th Sunday in Ordinary Time. Here’s a link to the Scripture readings for Holy Mass,

Saint Joseph, pray for us. Saint Michael, defend us in battle.
