CHRIST THE KING

A reflection on my favorite feast - and time - of the year: Christ the King. What is it about this time of year that I love so much?
Other Notes & Updates
As I shared a few months ago, I’ve recently taken on the role of President of the Archdiocese of Mbarara Foundation, a non-profit Foundation established here in the United States, with the approvals of the Archbishop of Mbarara in Uganda and our Bishop here. The Foundation exists to raise money for the people and needs of the Archdiocese of Mbarara.
We’re finally getting ready to spread the word about the Foundation and our work, and next week, with Giving Tuesday and the intensified focus around year-end giving, I’m going to start a personal appeal on a campaign for an initial project: To provide a well and running water for the University of St. Joseph in Mbarara. You can preview the project and pray about whether you might join me in supporting it when I start to ask next week.
Sunday’s Mass Readings
This Sunday we’ll start a new liturgical year (Happy New Year!) and celebrate the First Sunday of Advent. Here’s a link to the Scripture readings for Holy Mass.
Here’s this week’s #2MinuteHomily:
A Final Word
“His power is love, his throne the Cross, from which his Kingdom shines forth upon the world.” - Pope Leo XIV, Christ the King Sunday 2025
Until next Wednesday,
A blessed Thanksgiving to you and yours!
Saint Joseph, pray for us.
Saint Michael, defend us in battle.
