Notice what Jesus says: "You ARE the light of the world."

Not "try to be the light." Not "work really hard to become the light someday." You ARE the light. Right now. By your baptism.

So the question isn't whether you're a light. The question is whether you're hiding it.

Jesus says, "Nor do they light a lamp and then put it under a bushel basket." That would be ridiculous. But we do it all the time—at work, with certain friends. We blend in because standing out feels risky.

But our light isn't just words. It's action. Feeding. Sheltering. Serving. Loving—visibly, practically, sacrificially. Your good deeds ARE your light. And when people see them, they don't glorify you—they glorify God.

This week: Where have you been hiding? And what's one concrete act of service that lets your light shine?

If there's anything I can hold in prayer for you, let me know in the comments. And most importantly - I'll see you at Mass this weekend.
